Politically Incorrect Fun

It is fun to imagine the years of my Mom and Dad's courtship and early marriage when health and vigor allowed them to enjoy roller skating together. I've heard they were quite talented and could dance and twirl with style and finesse around the rink on their skates.

This picture helps me envision them in each others arms during those years. Anyone can see that they were in love.

Mom had a fun sense of humor and an infectious laugh. The year prior to meeting Dad, the singer Arthur Godfrey had a surprise hit record with the novelty song, "Too Fat Polka (She's Too Fat For Me)".

We had the 78 rpm record on this crazy song and often played it when I was small, while Mom sang along to the goofy lyrics:
