Milk and Ice Cream Binges

Uncle Kenneth and his comrades when they were freed from German prison camps at the end of World War II.  Af
ter their arrival in New York, the liberated prisoners took time out from milk and ice cream "binges" to urge that... 
  • "Nazi prisoners in this country be treated humanely despite the harsh treatment Yanks endured while interred in the crumbling Reich."

Kenneth was quoted as saying that the short rations during his captivity were his most gruesome memory. He deserved to "binge" on milk and ice cream.
